When J.M. Jordan was a child he had an overwhelming sense of curiosity and a spirit of adventure. This led to his exploration of the dark alleys and hidden corners of his hometown. There he had several odd encounters that he has never been satisfactorily able to explain. What he did find while spending many days in his local library was the strangely violent history of his small home town. Once he attended college his passion shifted from research to writing. He graduated with a degree in archeology with a minor in creative writing. He returned home and began interviewing aged citizens about the early days of the city and their time spent around it. Many were unaware of the extreme violence that unfolded, at times, merely a few houses down from their own. A few citizens, however, remembered odd tales and strange sites from their youth. These tales inspired Jordan to write the short stories found in his first collection "Haunted Tales from the Edge of Reality". J.M. Jordan lives in LaFollette, Tennessee with his wife Alise and their dog Gus. He loves Halloween.
